A wonderful smart, kind and talented man that I know was found dead on the lowest level of the Providence Place Mall parking garge on Thursday morning. He was a professional athlete and a Harvard graduate but he struggled with the internal demons of depression. He was a hard working individual who was truly loved by so many fans, teammates, friends and family. Depression is a serious disorder. It can take over a life that looks so charmed and make everything a shade of gray.

Rest in Peace, Tom Cavanagh. You are free now and you are missed.
